Who I am
I've loved programming for as long as I can remember. At ten I was learning HTML/CSS from library books with nothing but Windows Notepad and Internet Explorer. Chaotic, but it hooked me.
The 90s NBA shaped my childhood and is still with me. The Bad Boys Pistons, the New York Knicks, and the Chicago Bulls. WHAT AN ERA! I was raised on NBA highlights (and of course the And1 mixtapes in 360p).
That was also my gateway into superheroes with Batman and Superman. Even if today I'm clearly more into Marvel, it was DC Comics that lit the spark for everything that followed. Gotham pulled me in through Tim Burton's Batman films and Batman: The Animated Series (still the best adaptation). Burton even shot the two movies in different cities, so they’re essentially different Gothams—exactly the kind of trivia I obsess over.
Afternoons were Pokémon Blue on a Game Boy, link-cable trades, and accidentally knocking out Zapdos because I didn't know it was legendary.
Pop culture was exploding, but nothing was one click away. It wasn't better, just different. Memory is selective, so I try to preserve what I live and learn. Writing, building, and turning my best moments into films are my ways to leave a trace.
TL;DR I'm fueled by code, pop culture, video games, basketball, superheroes and memories—eclectic on purpose.
